The fruit itself has a pear-shaped, jelly-like pulp with many seeds. Moreover, the more of them, the fruit is considered tastier and of better quality. It is covered with a thin skin with small hairs and has a small eye in the upper part. The types of figs can vary in color, depending on the variety, there are white figs, green figs, and the most common are yellow-green, but for the home layman, figs with a purple hue are more common. The taste of the wine berry is sweet, but depending on the ripeness it can have a sour taste.

The main season of the fig comes in June-July, but the peculiarity of this fruit is that it bears fruit twice a year, and the second season comes in September-November, but there are varieties that bear fruit only once a year. As already mentioned above, there are many places where figs grow, but it is most widespread along the Mediterranean and Black Sea coasts, in Transcaucasia and Central Asia, the Iranian mountains and even in the Carpathians.
